As part of its grassroots empowerment mission, Legends of Peace Initiative has extended agricultural support to local farmers by introducing a structured palm fruit pruning program. Prior to the intervention, many palm trees in the community were left unpruned, resulting in poor fruit yields, difficult harvesting, and an increased risk of pest infestation.
Through training and hands-on assistance, the initiative taught locals the importance of periodic pruning to stimulate healthy fruit development and make harvesting safer and more efficient. The before-and-after impact is evident — with well-pruned palm trees now bearing larger, more accessible fruit clusters and delivering higher harvest yields.
This practical intervention has not only improved food security but also boosted local income from palm produce sales, fostering economic resilience in the communities served.
